Installing GOG.com games on Regata OS

After purchasing a game with Linux platform support on GOG.com, it will be available in your library. Just select it to open the download option, as shown in the image below. A file with the .sh extension will be downloaded.

TIP: If your download is too large, you can use the KGet download manager. It allows you to pause and resume downloads when you see fit. To find it, search for its name in the app store.

installing the game

With the download completed, open the folder where the installer of the game you downloaded is located      is the .sh file     , right click on it and go to Properties. Then, in the Permissions tab, check the "Is executable" box and click the OK button.

Now that we've given execute permission to the game's installation file, double click on the .sh file to start the game's installer. In the new window that will appear, click on Run. You can also right-click on the .sh file and select Run in Konsole.

From now on there is no secret. Install the game always advancing through the steps, "Next... Next..." style, without making changes to the installation options, unless you know what you're doing. Depending on the size of the game, installation shouldn't take long.

When installation is complete, if you have not changed the default installer options, the game icon should be available in both the application menu and the desktop.
